As we are working in flexible environments the lighting needs to be adapted to this requirement.
Freestanding luminaires can be placed easily anywhere in the room, providing direct and indirect light wherever the user needs it. Compared to fixed ceiling lights the freestanding lightsources can be plugged into wall sockets and they can be moved easily if the office arrangement changes. Therefore they serve as a good alternative to classic ceiling lights where there is no or little existing electrical infrastructure in the ceiling or supporting light needed.
